Let's go back in time to the beginning of September 2024, when we performed at the traditional Volnofest event in Černý Most. Volnofest is a festival of leisure activities that take place in Prague 14, and participants have the opportunity to try them out or just watch them during the afternoon. There are also demonstrations by the Czech Police and concert performances.

At the beginning of April, GBHS organized a very interesting weekend seminar led by Master Martin Zámečník on self-defense against knives. Another instructor was Master Milan Prokeš. Throughout the weekend, both masters intensively shared their knowledge of different martial arts styles that focus on self-defense against knife attackers.

From Friday, November 14, to Sunday, November 16, the Slovak Taekwon-Do Association, under the international taekwon-do federation of President Grand Master Paul Weiler, held its 189th International Instructor Course in Trnava. Our traditional Easter training camp was not only a celebration of spring, but also a return to Zákupy near Česká Lípa. We are very pleased that the primary school changed its conditions, which meant that we could move our spring and Easter training camp back there. Five days filled with taekwondo, fun, and improving our skills in this great martial art. For some of the participants, it was about preparing for the European Championships in Tallinn. Everything went perfectly, and the next camp in line is the big summer one!

On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th February, GBHS hosted two preparatory seminars for the European Championships in Tallinn. Two training sessions on Saturday were provided by taekwondo masters Martin Zámečník and Milan Prokeš. On Thursday, February 6, nearly 60 selected members of Sonkal took the tatami at the Vybíralova Primary School to take the exam for higher technical levels. In the previous weeks, rehearsals were held in the individual gyms so that everything could culminate in the official exam. The turn of January and February should be accompanied by winter weather and the proverbial saying goes - February is white, the fields are growing stronger. But the snow took a break and that's why we got stronger during our traditional winter camp. Over 50 participants set off from Černý Most to Zákupy in the afternoon on Thursday 30 January.
