On Thursday, 29th September, we performed three taekwondo demonstrations for schoolchildren at Vybíralova Primary School. The demonstrations were intended for the complete first grade and because it is a large school, the audience was very large in all three cases. The success of the demonstrations is evidenced by the fact that it brought a large number of people to our recruitment group. As we have already mentioned, there were three demonstrations and thus the themes in the photographs are repeated. Take a look at the 137 photos and the video edited by Alex Mach.

On Tuesday, 27th September, we presented a Taekwon-Do demonstration to the first and second grade schoolchildren of the Hloubětín Primary School. Because the local gym is very small, we divided our presentation into three demonstrations with slight variations. The photos are therefore interlaced and the techniques may be repeated. In addition to the photos, you can also watch the video footage. The aim of the demonstration was to attract more people interested in our order in BPA Hloubětín, which is directly adjacent to the Hloubětín Primary School.

The last competition of 2022 is upon us and the hall of the sports centre in Prague Řepi can look forward to 322 competitors from 23 schools from the Czech and Slovak Republic. A lot of water has passed in the rivers since our last visit to Borotin in South Bohemia. Of the current camp participants, we could count on one hand the number of people who remember the last time they attended in 2008. A lot has changed in those 14 years, but definitely for the better. 42 higher belts in taekwondo

At the end of June was the date of our next exams for higher technical levels - colour bands. After testing in individual gyms, 42 of our members finally made it to the final exam! Most of the applicants were for the white and yellow belts. The highest grade was the 3rd kup. All candidates were successful in their exam and were able to celebrate the end of the school year with a higher technical grade.

The last years of Volnofest were marked by beautiful weather, but this year it was exactly the opposite. The forecast from the beginning of the week did not promise anything great and Saturday afternoon only confirmed it. However, taekwondo players know how to fight not only with opponents, but also with more difficult conditions. Taekwondists do not hibernate like the bears in winter, but train hard. Last year we could have dreamed of winter training, but this year it was a different story. The last event of the Czech Taekwon-Do ITF in 2022 was the examinations for the technical dan, i.e. black belt, on Sunday 12th December. Over 30 adepts appeared before the examination committee of the Czech Federation and among them were four members of Sonkal. The first to take the exam for I. dan was Katerina Vitechkova for whom it was the culmination of the life of the coloured belt. Katka passed the exam without any difficulties and after receiving the official certificate she will be able to exchange her red belt for the monothematic but beautiful black one. On December 10, Brno belonged to taekwondists from all over the Czech Republic on the occasion of the national seminar. The seminar itself was divided into three separate blocks. The last weekend in November belonged to taekwondo in Stránčice under the baton of Polish Master - Jerzy Jeduta. Compared to the previous years, both days of the seminar were tuned more into drills and exercises for sparring. There were almost 50 candidates and the biggest part of them were applicants for I. dan, the gateway between master technical grades. In 2019 we went to the competitions in Scotland for the first time, which were organized by the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association. National championship for the first time in Ostrava

This year's national championship - Czech Republic Championship was held in Ostrava for the first time. Sonkal was represented by 23 competitors after two medical corrections. The whole team was very well prepared and the performances were at the top level! In the competition of 22 other schools of the Czech Taekwon-Do Federation our competitors did great. In this case it is not only about the second position, but also about the ratio of the number of competitors - our 23 versus 89 at GBHS. On 15th and 16th October the hall of the Sports Centre in Nymburk belonged to young talents from 6 regional centres. Last year we tried racing during the off-covid wave and this year we can really rock it. On Saturday 5th March the competition Cup of Czech Federation of Taekwon-Do ITF took place in Brno. The registration took place on Friday 4th so we arrived on that day in Brno.
