Work till you're black

Last weekend was one of those really hectic ones. After Friday's preparation, Saturday's Sonkal Open and Sunday's block of the national training camp and mainly the tests for the technical grades of dan, i.e. black belts.

One of the candidates was Tereza Simandlová, who has been a member of the Czech national team since June this year and will take part in the European Championships in Crete in a few weeks. Despite a slight health handicap in the previous days, Terka showed a very good performance and deservedly, like the other colleagues from the national team, won I. dan. Terka together with Karla Šrubařová were awarded for their performances with the federation tie!

After the rehearsal group for the I. dan, the head coach of the Czech national team Jan Mraček took the stage in front of Grandmaster Hwang Ho-yong. He successfully passed the test for the VIth dan consisting of So-San and Se-Jong and can add the Roman one to the existing five.

We congratulate all the successful ones and wish them a successful European Championships, and of course a continued taekwondo career. I. dan is in no way the end, but on the contrary a new beginning!!!
