Uder the lead of Supreme Master

In days 14th to 16th of September there was a seminar taking part in Bad Leonfelden in Austrina under the lead of Suprme Master and co-founder of Taekwon-Do, Kim Bok Man. Seminar was held by Taekwon-Do school of Velešín
in collaboration with Taekwon-Do Bad Leonfelden which is part of Taekwon-Do Velešín.

Besides taekwondists of organizing schools there were lots of practitioners from whole republic. Everybody was curious about the seminar for it was about traditional and old style of Taekwon-Do from ages it was still in cradle. Even Supreme Master Kim himself told us it´s going to be trip back to 1950s and 60s. He was right.

Differently performed stances, mostly opposite swings of blocks and whole movement still without sinewave were truly something new. Detailed explanation made all of us think fully about techniques of Taekwon-Do.

Practising with weapons was absolute novelty for us as well. All of us had already experienced self-defence against a knife but none of us had ever practised patterns with knife, cane or a sword. It was truly amazing. During education we were under the command of Grandmaster Brad Shipp who is Kim Bok Man´s man Friday. He showed us some patterns that we did not practise, with long stick for example. Many of those techniques were almost lethal.

Saturday night belonged to banquet with Supreme Master Kim where all of participants were awarded with certificate, T-shirts and other presents. Besides acknowledgement to Masters Kim Bok Man and Brad Shipp for excellent seminar, there were also many birthday wishes for leader of Bad Leonfelden school, Wolfgang Bräuer, celebrated birthday another day. Party proceeded and many questions were asked about Taekwon-Do techniques and origin. Supreme Master was glad to answer them. In the late night hours a few braves under leadership of Master Shipp practised nonofficial pattern, Ko-Dang.

On Sunday ending of seminar Supreme Master revealed more about his own style of Chun Kuhn Taekwon-Do. He encouraged us to visit his Do-Jang in New York a promised that we will be heartily welcomed.

Whole seminar satisfied me very much and I think I was not the only one. If I had the chance to visit USA someday I would certainly drop by the New York gym to attend next awesome training.
