The most succesful school is Sonkal

On Saturday (21st June) 213 participants from 18 Czech taekwon-do schools competed in Třeboň. This tournament is counted

as a first round of the Official Czech champion serie. Despite the fact that our team had to do without few experienced

members (Hlůže, Deutschová or both sisters Bardonová), Sonkal had 15 competitors here, which practiced pretty faultlessly.

In patterns (tul), Sonkal always has few medals and there weren´t any exce

ptions here this time. At first in kid category,

bronze medals for Ivana Hrebačková and Barbora Hemerová

(female kid 4.kup and above). After ages of waiting Honza Konár got 1st place(he

practices good enough really long, but luck is luck) in male kid 4.-1.kup. Radka

Koldinská
and Martina Svitáková achieved first and second place in female juniors

8.-7.kup. Eliška Meyerová got 3rd place in female juniors 4.-3.kup (as last time) even

Milan Fulmek who practices well in this cathegory almost always got bronze one. Second

bronze in same cathegory as Milan Fulmek (male j. 4.-3.kup) got surprisingly
href="/zavodnik-en.php?id=205">Lukáš Legner.
Pavel Zavadil shew again that pattens are

his natural ability and couldn´t find anyone who would be able to defeat him in highest junior cathegory (I.Dan and above) -

so 1st place for him. In female juniors 2.kup and above we had Bára Sýkorová who

practiced great, because in semifinal she defeated Europe champion Aneta Merksbauerova

and in final her colleague from national team, Ilona Hambergerová, 1st gold medal for

her. After patterns Sonkal had 4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals, but it was only beginning :o)

T-ki (special techniques) – Sonkal´s best discipline - was this time instantly after patterns (normally, it´s after sparring) Iva Hřebačková had 3 points and went to fights for 2nd and 3rd place, but unfortunately she wasn´t able to do enough for medal. In both juniors cathegory (A and B) we had favourites for gold medals – Bára Sýkorová and Lucka Kolmanová. Both our girls got 9 points (it´s maximum) and without bigger problems achieved 1st places.

Matsogi – sparring. In kids we had Iva Hřebačková (female kids –50 kg), who was defeated by experineced Třeboň fighter Věra Hasíková in final and got nice silver medal. Juniors Lukáš and Petr Legner both won bronze medals (Lukáš –70kg, Petr 70kg and above). Pavel Zavadil´s result in semi-final was draw and although he lost after extra round, his sparring skills are getting better and better, this time he got bronze medal. In final Lucka Kolmanová fought the same opponent as on last competition and despite she lost again, this time she was really tough finalist – 2nd place for her. Bára Sýkorová in female junior A category 53kg and above got gold medal after defeating Lenka Žitniková from Joomok Frýdek-Místek and winning final without fight because of Ilona Hambergerova´s injury from t-ki.

Last discipline, as always, was power breaking, which meant medals for our Lucka and Bára. Lucka was 100 percent succesful

in points. After first round they were first in their categories.
