The frosty morning of 11th January attracted a huge number of people from the Czech Taekwon-do ITF Federation to the hall of Sportcentrum in Brandýs nad Labem. The clear motivation was to win participation in the European Championships in the Estonian capital Tallinn. Sonkal had its representatives there as well. Some of them wanted to add more starts to the ones they had already won at the Czech Republic Championships in November. Others wanted to win the participation as such.

Both the morning and afternoon training sessions were divided into individual competition groups so that they could practice all four taekwondo disciplines one by one. Most space was of course devoted to patterns and sparring.

With time to spare, the nominations of all our candidates were confirmed and for most of them it will be their first time at the European Championships!
