It’s been a couple of weeks ago since the last Union’s competition in Třeboň was held. The very last time was in 2008 Czech Championship.
Fomat of the competition and its name is quite different today, but that was not a problem for any taekwondists which returned to the land of lakes, fishponds and fishnets!

Difficult competition in patterns and matsogi was awaiting all 172 competitors from 12 different schools. Whenever the number of competitors in each category was low enough, then that category competed in the system of everyone against everyone. The biggest categories were as usual Youth male and female yellow belts.

Sonkal sent 23 of its best members and valuable medals jingled our song again! Our final tally of medals was 14-8-3 (gold, silver and bronze), respectively of all these were recognised only 11-5-3. This number of medals was with a big leap enough for us to win this whole competition.
Part of the final ceremony was announcement of the best overall competitors and Sonkal was very successful here:

-Aleš Charvát – Youth Male
-Michael Matouš – Male Junior B
-Veronika Žilinská – Female Junior B
-Martin Bičovský – Male Senior B

Cups were shared in Sonkal equally between students from Černý Most and Petřiny.
