Loitering with Taekwon-Do

It was Saturday September 8th 2018 and traditional event called Stop Zevling took place in Černý Most in Prague. Under the terms of this cultural-sport event is so-called Town of free-time activities with the possibility to present plenty of different kinds of activities. It was second time that our school
took part in this occasion and we were allowed to present Taekwon-Do ITF.

Shortly after lunch we gathered in gym and piled up pieces of tatami, targets, big targets, banners, foam sticks, boards and other stuff in a car which drove them near “Plechárna”. Our four-member expedition composed of Honza Veškrna, Ondra Faltin, Jirka Faltin and Karolína Chmelíková walked across estate. When we arrived at our spot we found our marked tent where Pavel Zavadil and some colour belt awaited us. Then we started assembling tatami.

We could also try activities at other tents and the most interesting was tattooing of bananas. Veronika and Ondra tattooed some bananas with logo of our school and then hung them up on our tent. It seemed to me that our exhibition attracted most of visitors considered them the most interesting. Honza picked up a volunteer to jump over while kicking a board right above his head. In next part he was jumping over Ondra performing double front kick. During both demonstrations we showed common pattern, kicked targets and broke some boards.

It was great to attract a lot of spectators and I hope that, at least some of them, will appear at our gym. I dare say it was wonderful afternoon and the weather was perfect.
