At the weekend 6th-7th February the International seminar under the lead of Grandmaster Hwang ho Yong IX. degree took place
. For there were lots of students from foreign countries the teaching was in English. Masters Martin Zámečník VII. degree and Ondřej Vrábel VII. degree helped Grandmaster Hwang with the explanation. Pavel Zavadil III. degree and Martin Svitek V. degree appeared as the demonstrators.

Because of the Corona virus situation, the whole seminar was broadcast online via Zoom which was a little drawback for nobody could practice under the direct Grandmaster´s supervision. But, whoever could, he/she found a little space in his house or even gym. All of us practised as best as we could according to the instructions and demonstration.

The seminar started on Saturday at 10 a.m. and this morning part lasted till 1 p.m. At first, we were taught the basic techniques and then we switched to patterns. After one-hour break the afternoon part began at 2 p.m. and went on with the patterns until 4 p.m. The last hour belonged to sparring. Grandmaster told us the basics of step-sparring and semi-free sparring. The demonstrators Pavel and Martin showed that they were truly skilled Taekwondists for they did great performance. Of course, we could learn a lot from them.

The Sunday section contained only the morning part from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It was about patterns as well. As a demonstrator there was Pavel Zavadil again and he switched roles with Petr Smejkal VI. degree who replaced Martin Svitek.

Against the uncommon situation I really enjoyed the seminar and I believe that others did so as well. During the seminar there were several interesting questions about using techniques in particular patterns. I am sure that even we watched the seminar on our computer screens and practised in modest conditions that our dwellings allowed us, it had great benefits for all of us.
