5.4.2021 / Online technical seminar with GM Hwang Ho-yong

If it can’t be offline, it has to be online

During those last 13 months we had to get used to many limitations - face masks, school, work and trainings via internet. One of the forms of education are online trainings, which went through some changes since autumn. Mainly because of suggestion of Martin Zámečník. I was able to do technical seminars with GM Hwang Ho-yong or other Czech taekwon-do Masters.

On Sundays seminar with our Grand Master it was honoured to be his assistant again. Our other assistants were Tereza Simandlová and Ondřej Faltin.

In the introductory part Grand Master repeated some important theoretical basics. Then he was showing the correct performance of some chosen techniques, he used the “theory of power” during the explanation as he always does, because it’s really important.

In the second part of the seminar Grand Master was mainly doing kicks and their correct performance.

Even though that the grandmaster was really energetic right from the beginning, the seminar passed quickly and it felt like minutes to us. Even Terka and Ondra really enjoyed it as I did and now we are looking forward to other event, which is the 2nd online International Technical Seminar, which is going to take part on 10th and 11th April and it’s going to be an amazing celebration of 66th anniversary since the foundation of Taekwon-do.

And a small fun fact - with Alex Mach we beaten our record of setting up the studio for recording. We spent whole afternoon with recording four other podcasts and the last one ended at 17.30, so it was a really short time to set everything up in time - so we have to be fast during the training and even out of it :-D
