17.6.2021 / Black belts promotionsHubert gets One
Wednesday 9th June was D-day for Hubert Skala. And what is D-Day for a taekwondists? I'm sure there are many, but the most important one is the I. dan exam. The black belt is the end of the colored world, or the student world, and the black world - the master world - begins.
Due to the ongoing anti-covid measures, the Czech Taekwon-Do ITF Federation announced three black belt examination dates at the end of May and during June. Prague and the surrounding area finally gathered in the gym of Vybíralova Elementary School and there was a lot to see! Besides Hubert, there were two more adepts for the I. dan, for the II. took the test seasoned representative Petra Jíchová, for the III. equally experienced Michal Vavřinec and also long-time taekwondo player Daniel Mašek. Examinations under the flag of ITF jurisdiction, but again under the competence of Grandmaster Hwang Ho-yong, were on IV. and VI. dan. On the "lower" ones we could see Pavel Hvězda and Vladislav Laš, and on the higher ones - Radka Heydušková, Jaroslav Vomáčka and Zdeněk Vavruška.
All participants went through the rigours of the tests, some of them even got some minor sore, successfully and deservedly they will soon be able to put on the belt with higher dan.
Congratulations to all and check our photos!
