31.12.2014 / Technical seminar with Jerzy Jedut (VII. dan)

How I switched my camera

December had been really hard month for me - competition, regional seminar, national seminar, grading, Christmas exhibition, Sonkal seminar... Despite all of that I didn't hesitate for a while when invitation from Czech National Union for seminar with Jerzy Jedut appeared in my mailbox.
Years ago I attended two-day-long seminar with master Jedut and with Jaroslaw Suska in Znojmo and it was very inspiring.

The seminar consisted only of two training units aimed for fundamental movements and patterns to Ge-Baek but still I had been looking forward to it as little boy. Trainings with master Jedut are always variegated with many games and exercises for increasing fitness and agility. The same was at this seminar in Stránčice. The training units were only two-hour-long so master tried to put as many exercises in it as possible even at the cost of not many repetitions. Very pleasant thing was also discussion about different practising of some movements in the two ITF international organisations.

Even though the seminar was mostly aimed for grading programme - patterns and step sparring, there was still space for stepping and other sparring exercises.

At the end of seminar we took some group pictures. This is the reason for article headline. Unexpected thing happened, master Jedut has exactly the same camera as me, even with the same lens. So obviously during taking the pictures, our cameras got mixed up. So when I came home and started downloading the pictures, something was not right. Instead two memory cards there was only one. Then I noticed there is only 7 group pictures... I turned the camera on, looked into the menu and it was in Polish. Suddenly I realized what happend, grabbed my phone and called to Viktor Stein. It was a big relief when he told me that master Jedut was staying till the next day. So I made an evening trip to Strančice near Brechtold castle where master was accommodated. Master didn't checked the camera so he was quite surprised. We swithed our Mark 3's and found out the cameras are really simillar even with a small crack on display. As an apology, I gave master Jedut a small present and in return I received memorial book reminding 30 years of master's school in Lubartow.

Members of Union had an opportunity to attend black belt grading after the seminar, so we congratulate to all new black belts.

I thank to master Jedut for another excellent seminar with many interesting ideas which inspired me to the next practising. I will be looking forward to next reunion, hopefully sooner than this one since Znojmo.
