13.1.2003 / Course with Master Hwang Ho Yong (VII. dan)Great 3 hours course with Master Hwang Ho Yong
On last Saturday (11th of January) Prague taekwondo practicioners have first opportunity to train with master Hwang Ho Yong (VII.Dan, official founder of taekwondo in Czech republic) after two years. Thirty-five red and black belts met in our gym. Highest degree was, except master Hwang, of course, Radka Heydušková (Dlouhá) III.Dan. Few second degrees came to train at this course (all of them are trainers) from taekwondo school Sonkal, Hosinsool and Kwang Myong.
After first bow, master said that we continued in training after two years and that
this course is dedicated to let master know what progress have we done in his absence.
After quick warm-up excercises we began with basic kicks and patterns from Saju-jirugi to Ge-Baek, and we trained 3 basic forms of step-sparrings. Master always highlighted application of difficult techniques and importance, meaning and purpose of step-sparrings (I hope, everyone will keep it in mind). There were enough time for our questions.
In the end of course master noticed that time schedule of regional courses is prepared, mainly for trainers and black belts, but red belts may took part here too. Last question for master was: „When next course is going to held??“. I think it shows
how nice and enjoyable atmhosphere there was.
We took some photos too, so check photogallery.
We hope that next training course with our master will take place soon (february) in one of prague school’s gym.
