Exhibition of Norbertov

It was about a half of August when Martin Svitek addressed me to organize an exhibition for pupils in school nearby our Do-Jang
, that could help us to recruit new members for our Taekwon-Do school. I was trying to find a school where we could carry out the exhibition and finally I managed it in the Primary school Norbertov. It was due to little help from my friend who was working there as a teacher. We planned the exhibition to 25th September 2014. With a help of Ondra Vrábel we gathered eight people who took a part of the exhibition. It´s a pity that most of them was from the the Do-Jang of our school (from Černý Most), for this exhibition was intended to pick up new people to the Do-Jang of Petřiny. But it was ideal number of people.

The beginning of the exhibition was established to 10:00 o´clock in the morning. But everyone of us had already assembled at 9:00 a.m. to make us be prepared for our performances, because we had no time before. Fortunately they let us in one hour earlier so we had enough time to be ready. Whole exhibition was composed right before its beginning. About 10:00 a.m. pupils started to come to the gymnasium. After the last pupil had sat down we began to start. The first thing was performing of the pattern Do-San. After that we showed some attacking combos to the targets and right after the power breaking, special techniques and pan jau matsogi followed. At the end of the exhibition two our members performed an exhibit of self-defence.

Although the exhibition took barely fifteen minutes everything came out very well and the viewers were really excited. Very great ovation harvested Ondra Faltýn (nine-year-old boy) as he had broken a wood board using side kick. But definitely everyone of participating showed really amazing performances and made the viewers absolutely enthusiastic including Mrs. Deputy Director of that school. Later my friend told me that it´s almost impossible to make this woman be so satisfied, so I dare say this exhibition was absolutely unique.

After our exhibition was ended all of the present pupils had a chance to try some of techniques of Taekwon-Do, kicks, blows or self-defence. All of them liked to try it and everybody enjoyed that very much and according to my opinion everybody, who showed his or her skill at this exhibition, can be very proud of him or herself.
