Excellent national course

On May 23, 2010, a National seminar was held in Brno. Master Hwang Ho Yong was missing because of his trip to Korea. This seminar was led by Mr. Rostlislav Kaňka (6th black belt degree) and Mr. Martin Zámečník (5th black belt degree). There were also other international instructors like Mr. Petr Poklop (5th black belt degree), Mrs Jana Lazorová (4th black belt degree), Mr. Marek Lazor (4th black belt degree), Mr. Ondřej Vrábel (4th black belt degree) and Mr. Milan Prokeš (4th black belt degree).

The morning part of the seminar was led by Mr. Kaňka. The entire part was about techniques
and patterns. After warming up and stretching we practised several basic patterns all together. After three basic patterns (Chon-Ji, Dan-Gun, Do-San) we were separated into small groups and practised patterns reflecting our belt degrees. My group (3rd black belt and higher) was led by Mr. Kaňka and the other groups were led by other international instructors. That was really hard drill training and I think I got to know some new points of view of techniques and movements. Fifteen minutes before end of the first part of the seminar we were practising some sparring techniques all together.

Between trainings, we had 2 hours for lunch. Some of us went to the old city to take pictures. The best place for taking pictures was Špilberg castle, we thought. The weather was sunny and it was a really nice day for taking pictures. After taking pictures it started raining. That was great timing, I guess!

At 2 pm, the second part of the seminar started. We took picture all together and after that we practised basic kicks and did some fitness kicking. In the final part of the seminar, we practised three, second and one step model sparing (Sambo, Ibo and Ilbo Matsogi). All the parts were led by Mr. Zámečník.
In my opinion, the seminar was really cool and I enjoyed it very much, my body was in pain for three days. Special thanks to Mr. Libor Macháň (4th black belt degree) for managing the seminar. I hope we will meet soon.
