5.11.2001 / Czech republic championship juniors and seniors

Competition year 2001 is over now.

Top sport event of a season is always „The Czech national championship“. More than 260 com
petitors (both juniors and seniors) from 20 czech taekwon-do schools participated in 4 disciplines (patterns, sparring, special techniques and power breaking). Sonkal was represented only by 4 competitors (Tomáš Bobek, Hoang Yuang Huy, Tran Vu Huy and Nguyen Hai Ha).

The most succesful Sonkal competitor was Tomáš Bobek, despite of his cold, and got silver medal in sparring. Tomáš, except one competition, got always gold medal in special techniques this year, this competition wasn´t an exception. Hoang Yuang Huy won two medals – bronze one in patterns I.Dan and above and silver medal in sparring up to 58 kg.

During ending ceromonial, official czech national champions for 2001 were enunciated.
In junior A cathegory won Jan Kubát from Hwa-Rang Prague, but second was Tomáš Bobek (if he had taken one more gold medal, he would had won this title) and third Hoang Quang Huy, both from Sonkal!!!

Next competition for juniors and seniors will be, as always, in January.
