All roads lead to Jesolo

The saying goes that all roads lead to Rome, or, according to Josef Švejk, to Budějovice. However, all roads for the members of the Czech national team clearly lead to Jesolo, where the Taekwondo World Championships begin on Friday. The actual start is not until Tuesday, but there is still a lot to do - a technical seminar, a referees' course, registration, weigh-in, accommodation, and also the international federation congress. And then on Tuesday, it's time to step onto the tatami and get ready to fight!

But let's get back to the photos—on Saturday, we visited the last part of the preparations in Brandýs nad Labem, where the entire national team met three times for an extended weekend training camp. On Saturday, we took photos from the training session, which focused on sports combat and team or individual routines. Take a look at them, and we are also adding short videos on social media.

This year is a record year for Sonkal in terms of the number of representatives. Participation in the European Championships in Tallinn was already huge, and we are sending 10 competitors to Jesolo. This is a great recognition of the work and quality not only of the competitors themselves, but also of all the club coaches and those who train with our representatives!
