15.4.2010 / Bohemia Championship kids, juniors and seniors

Eight in the morning is getting closer in corridors of Sport center CSTV in Nymburk appears more and more people in strange white habits. After first dose of caffeine my eyes opened and white habits became taekwondo doboks.

Enough of literary experiments, lets see what happened in this town on Elbe. On April 10 (day before 55. anniversary of taekwondo) more than 15 competitors and 20 referees from 10 schools came to

take part in Bohemian national championship.

This competition was for kids, juniors and seniors, but also taekwondoists from veteran category took part in senior competition and they did really well despite their age.

At 8:30 competition started with opening ceremony and taekwondo oath. Kids began in patterns (from yellow to red belts), then juniors (also black belts). Senior patterns´ competition started together with special techniques and power breaking.

Then sparring started only on 2 tatamis. Plenty of spectacular matches passed through all day, kids having not enough technique compensated it by spirit, older categories used more of experience and tactics, we may say, that experience defeated strength.

The most successful competitors were awarded at the end of competition:

  • male kids – Danilin Nikita (Ge-Baek Hosinsool)

  • female kids – not awarded (more people with same score)

  • male junior B – Vitězslav Beneš (Silla)

  • male junior A – Ondřej Malý (Dan-Gun)

  • female junior B - not awarded (more people with same score)

  • female junior A – Veronika Kokášová (Silla)

  • male senior B – David Strnad (Tong-Il)

  • male senior A – Jan Chaloupka (Tong-Il)

  • female senior B – Veronika Dvořáková (Tong-Il)

  • female senior A – Lucie Lacíková (Ge-Baek Hosinsool)

  • The most successful schools of championship:

    1. Silla

    2. Tong-Il

    3. Ge-Baek Hosinsool

Congratulations to all successful. We also want to thank to Toi-Gae Prague and TKD Velešín for preparation of hall and to organizers for their help through competition, last but not least to all referees for high quality of their work.

P.S.: Watch the white habits persons, as we saw during the day, they use their hands and feet really skillfully.
