300+ taekwondo men and women at Saturday's Sonkal Open

Last year we tried racing during the off-covid wave and this year we can really rock it. The number of competitors registered for the 2022 Sonkal Open confirms that there is a great hunger for competitions. Even more pleasing is the number of foreign teams. In the past we have hosted competitors from Croatia and Slovakia, but this year we will have the premiere participation of teams from Ukraine and Norway.
The participation of the Ukrainian team is admirable, as travelling to/from a country wracked by war, sparked by Russia exactly 3 months ago, is still very complicated. Not to mention regular training.
