18.12.2015 / Black belts examinationsNew black belt in Sonkal
I discovered TKD by accident. My mother's friend had said that they were starting practising TKD, so I also tried it. I liked it because it was something different. I enjoyed learning something new all the time. I have been doing TKD for seven years and that prevailed - I have a lot to learn and that is the greatest thing about TKD for me.
Whe
n I had white belt and I saw first exhibition, I admired what black belts did there. Back then it didn't come to my mind, that one day I will also be able to do it.
When I reached blue belt, I was forced to compete in matsogi. That was my weak spot, I was afraid and I wanted to stop practising TKD. But I am glad I got over it. I have a lot to improve in matsogi, but I am not afraid now and I like it.
When I reached black stripe, I was not thinking about grading for black belt one day. Ondřej Vrábel started to prepare me for black belt and I said I will try it. Since September I've been attending Saturday trainings and I came to our trainings earlier to practise more several times. I learned the theory at home although Ondřej helped me with it a lot. My biggest fear was hosin-sool, because I haven't practised it many times but at the and it was not that bad. I was most self-confident in patterns. I was not afraid about the grading, because when Tereza Štekerová did her grading, I went there to have a look and I knew, what I should expect.
I would like to improve more and more, mostly in matsogi.
And at the end I want to thank Ondřej again for his help, it helped me a lot.
