In 2019 we went to the competitions in Scotland for the first time, which were organized by the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association. We really liked the competitions then - friendly atmosphere, solid organization and interesting opponents. The following three years we had to postpone our participation because of Covid 19. On 15th and 16th October the hall of the Sports Centre in Nymburk belonged to young talents from 6 regional centres. On Saturday, there was a matching of forces in the pupil age group, Sunday was dedicated to juniors and junior girls. Sonkal as a long-time member of STM Praha II participated with 16 competitors. On Saturday 21 May we accepted an invitation from the Czech National Taekwon-Do ITF Union to participate in the national championship. Before the covid pandemic we had already participated in this event several times and therefore we went to Benátky nad Jizerou with 18 competitors to measure their strength. Ve druhé polovině dubna se talentovaná mládež STM Praha II vydala do Ostravy na první letošní soutěžní setkání. Sobotní velmi brzký odjezd z Prahy vybízel k pospávání. Po nezbytné registraci byla naše sonkalácká část vyslána do technického muzea, aby zde strávila značnou část pro ně nesoutěžního dne. After more than a decade, the competition in the Bulgarian capital was renewed under its original name, the Sofia Open. The number of competitors registered for the 2022 Sonkal Open confirms that there is a great hunger for competitions. Even more pleasing is the number of foreign teams.
