Third place in club overall

We took part in Bohemian national championship in our favorite martial art as every year. We left Prague on Friday (someone sooner, someone later…). Registration was more smooth than usual what made us happy, because there were no waiting, just weighting. Then our dinner disappeared in our stomachs. I have to appreciate Mila Fulmek´s self-control and indomitable spirit, because he shared his fancy bread with us. Then our accommodation was presented by our trainers – boarding house as usual. We are used to this place so much that when we accidentally stay in different place our students reflectively go to boarding school after walk through city.

What a wonderful Saturday morning. But lot of us felt shivering through our bodies. And th
en it began. Who had not seen it did not believe it. We saw lot of nice patterns duels. There were some worse duels also, I saw one match between red belts where one forgot his pattern 2 times and second 3 times so the former won. I will not say names, but fortunately they were not from Sonkal. There were also plenty of nice sparing duels, I think that people really listened to their coaches (I mean speaking coaches not coaches with wheel you know…damn English). Monika’s naeryo chagi became legendary (that why I am writing about it without seeing it :o) , not to many KO´s happened (and none to Sonkal fighters). Power breaking and special techniques were scheduled before sparring what has its pros and cons. Competitor is not so well warmed up, but at the other hand his body is not bruised by that time. This tournament was special also in fact that most of national team members were in Slovenia (cowards), but for example Honza Mraček came at the end of tournament for team sparring.

We found out that we have another cup for ice cream. Because Monika Junová and Tom Magician Vodička took the most successful competitors titles. Tom between juniors and Monika….mmm doesn´t matter (it is not polite to speak about lady’s age). Sonkal was third in total score and we hope that next time, our dear Sonkal, will get better.

So this is the main thing. Of course the most important is personal feeling each of all friends who took part, but it hard to write down, you know. Compared to this finishing as soon as at 3 P.M. and eating orgy in McDonald are really unimportant :o)
