The Devil‘s Cup of Taekwon-do ITF

For the fourth year in a line, girls and guys met in the sports hall of the elementary school Petřiny to compete in Taekwon-do at the Devil’s Cup. This year there was slight difference if you compared the number of application and the real participants in the gym. This fact could be blame on the devils rampage before the competition event itself. Despite this more than 210 competitors from 20 schools in the Czech and Slovak Republics arrived to competition field to challenge each other.

Quite a lot of the Czech national team members attended the competition and their participation offered an excellent opportunity to be compared with the best. Although the number of judges was lower than the organizers would have liked, they still managed to keep the competition going in five rings for the most of the time. As in the May Sonkal Open all judges decisions were transferred in digitally which helped to fasten up the assessment of the final ranking in the groups. All competitors received their devil’s medals immediately and thus they did not have to wait for their precious metals.

Even though there was sparring discipline, all participants enjoyed the advent mood and all finished “still standing”.

The Cups for the most successful individuals in their groups won:
- younger female kids- Chmelíková Karolína - Třeboň
- younger male kids- Hejný Michal – TKD Milovice
- older female kids - Eliška Fuxová - GBHS
- older male kids - Faltin Ondřej - Sonkal
- younger junior female - Rožboudová Veronika - Třeboň
- younger junior male- Veškrna Jan - Sonkal
- older junior female - Máchová Eliška - Třeboň
- older junior male - Čermák Dominik - Panter
- adult female - Štekerová Tereza - Sonkal
- adult male - Novák Jiří - Sonkal

Additionally, the winners mentioned above will receive gift vouchers from the sponsor - Hayashi CZ!

The Sonkal who organized the competition also ruled the overall rankings of participating clubs, followed by the South Bohemian Clubs - Třeboň and Tong-Il.
