Spring is coming

Sun was shining, wind blowing over the fields. Doboks waving in windows of an old mill.

One of the sentences on application form said: „Training camp will be focused on cardio conditioning“. I liked the idea so I took part. It was just four days camp and first was not so hard, so maybe you say „it is not possible to improve cardio in four days“. You are right, but I offer you different point of view. Everyone on this camp ran few kilometers and trained really hard, it is of no question (check photos), but still it does not improve one’s condition in any way. I was more influenced b

y what happened around. When you see all the people working hard, you discover sources inside, you did not know about. What did I see? I saw people able to live not only with their brains, but also with their bodies, they appreciate the gift they have. Somebody take bicycle and go for a ride, someone exercises in the morning, another one run after lunch to enjoy the sun. Someone prepares motivational video to show us our effort is worth of doing. In the end all these people have one thing in common: physical activity makes them happy.

And this is what training camp should be about. It should motivate („kick our effort„ in Czech, hard to translate; o) ) us to make physical activity common part of our life. Not to murmur when walking up stairs that doesn’t move or when we have to bring something to colleague who sits on the other end of building. We should enjoy every possibility to stretch our spine bent from all day long sitting before PC. There are special office spine exercises, but I think these are not necessary to know, it’s enough to change a bit our day schedule and especially our lazy customs. Natural physical activity is not burdening as we often think. Hard is to change our routines, when we don’t care about how and if at all we move. If just few of camp’s participants changed their routines a bit, goal was achieved.

No more talking, I go for a run – weather is not nice today, but I don’t care!
