29.1.2009 / 2nd Budweis Fight Cup

Sonkal on south of Bohemia

Four competition enthusiasts from Sonkal visited first tournament of year 2009 in our country (24/1/09). Budweis Fight Cup took place in České Budějovice.

Schedule started with kid patterns. Lukáš Veverka did good job and got great 2nd place. Kristýna and Verča were allowed to compete in kids what meant gold for Verča and bronze for Kristýna.

Lukáš Veverka started in
sparring for the first time in his life (kids sparring up to 120 cm) and has no reason to be ashamed. No medal for him, but great experience for the future. Noone had chance against our girls mentioned above - gold for both of them.

Kristýna and Verča got same places in juniors as in kids and Monika achieved 3rd place. Girls were also very succesful in sparring. Kristýna got silver and Verča bronze in up to 55 kgs category. Monika defeated all opponents in her weight category and got gold medal.

Monika also tried to compete in senior part of tournament and got two gold medals.

Then we travelled back home…tired, but happy.
