Slovenian mission

On the 19th – 21st November part of out team went to Žatec, Slovenia to participate in A-Class competition Slovenia Open. We had covered multiple age categories.
Ondřej Faltin was competing in youth male division and earned gold medal in patterns 2. – 1. kup. In sparring he proved very mature skills and ended with bronze medal. Jan Veškrna, our junior male competitor, was the most succesful member of our team, when he won gold medals in both patterns and sparring and was announced the overall champion (junior male). Jan Veškrna was disqualified for uncontrolled contact earlier this year in kixbox competition.

Kája Chmelíková who joined Sonkal just a while ago is fully integrated in our team now and thus she showed very focused performance. She earned silver medal in sparring, the only one who beated her was another member of Czech National Team, Tereza Tobolová.

In senior female divison we had two competitors, Jana Kovářová and Tereza Štekerová. Jana succesfully fighted her way into the Finals where she lost against Greece competitor. In conclusion Jana won silver medal in sparrings and bronze medal in patterns.

Tereza proved her skills and showed her strong kicks and punches against some competitors and they were not keen about more fighting with Boston Terka.

In a fight with Greek competitor she threw her kick (yop chagi) straight into the ribs of her rival and knock-outed her. With that she earned gold medal.

Our veteran male competitor Jirka Faltin proved himself in another competition after World Championship and showed his technical skills in patters where he won over his rivals and earned gold medal. In sparring he performed very good fights and and lost only with his colleague from Czech National Team. That added silver medal for Jirka.

At Slovenia our team earned another valuable experiences before the National Championship in Brno.
