Second day of tournament

Last day of Czech national championship was bright and sunny (what a time to be spent in a hall!). Senior elite who compete on the last day went for breakfast to stuck their stomachs and discredit their coming appearances. Competition started at 8:30 with team patterns.
We got our first Sonkal gold of the day in female senior team. Our boys also did well loosing closely in final. Male juniors had to finish their special techniques from Saturday. Individual patterns started after with first two hopes in ....us :o) After hard matches (I. Dan category) Kristýna got gold and Veronika bronze. Our lower grade (green and red belt) ladies got silver medals! Our men performed also well with silver for Honza, and bronzes for Pavel and Tomáš.

Sparring was on schedule then. Jana Kovářová was first, fighting bravely winning her category. Our experienced Tomáš Vodička got to final where very closely lost. Our teams also fought hard. Boys did well, but lost with team with same number of members but twice the weight (still fighting like lions). Females got to final after great duel of Verča and won whole category. We were really suprised by winning of both our teams in special techniques. And last gold won girls in team power breaking.

Hard but succesful day was ended by awarding the most succesful taekwondo school of 2013 where we, SONKAL, got first place! So we hope that everyone enjoyed whole event despite of winning of loosing and that all of us has motivation for future training and competition.

Thnakfully it was not about hard work and stress, but also about friendship and help. Great part of work is on shoulders of our instructors and our thanks goes also to them.
And because we still consider ourselves as youth we promise you to celebrate our victory in a way that will be remembered (as I heard it is not remembered by everyone!!! - translator ;o) )
