My first Bohemian chapionship with Sonkal

Sunday 10/3, Bohemian championship in Nymburk. We left Prague pretty early to have enough time to help prepare the hall and warm-up for the competition.
Even preparing hall may be fun and we had nice time playing with draw cards for breaking. S
ense of play in Sonkal is strong and self-control of our instructor Ondra si high :o) Me and Tomáš Vodička helped also with weighing - it was hard to decide who will weight girls and who boys, but finally we stuck in old-fashioned model, so I weighted girls.

First matches started at about 1 P.M. and it was not KO system but everyone had match with all other opponents in his category. As I found out in Třeboň, our competitors often got first 2 places in their category, what is not my cause nowadays, but I will try harder. After about 3 hours, sparring started. Our coach was Vláďa Švanda, and if he was too busy, Tomáš Vodička helped. There were not all of our competitors, but we still got 2nd place in the most succesful school overall. Tournament finished at 9 P.M. with nearly everyone falling asleep. In my, forever optimistic, point of view this event went well for us. Good organization, nice tournament, great team. And maybe next time we will start earlier (as our tkd friend Verča Holečková had her graduation ball and we did not manage to get there as we planned! - but she was beautiful as we saw on photos).
I hope that next time, with full team, we will be the best school of competition. Congratulation to your succesess and see you on next event.
