Internationally international tournament

On Saturday 28 of March 2015 there was a comparison of power between competitors not just from Czech Republic. The Czech Open in Nymburk took place on that day. There were participating many schools from foreign countries
. Of course there couldn´t be missing participants from Czech and Moravia. The total number of competitors was about three hundred people.

The competition began by the registration of competitors at about 10:00 a.m. After that followed the weighing of those, who decided to compare their skills in sparing. All of us were accommodated at hotel, which is part of sport hall in Nymburk. The official initiation of competition started at 2:00 p.m.

Category of pupils started first and they competed in the discipline of patterns. Further the category of juniors in the patterns´ discipline and then the category of seniors followed. After that the competition went on with special techniques and sparing. Then the power breaking in the category juniors B started. They went on with special techniques and with sparing discipline. The Saturday part of the competition ended about 7:30 p.m.

In the evening competitors and referees betook to the diner and then to their rooms or to the hotel bar for a refreshment. Members of junior category A and senior category had to take up more energy for the following day.

During the night the time was changed so everybody had to wake up one hour earlier than the day before. Fortunately everyone knew that and nobody overslept. The beginning of the second day of competition started at 8:30 a.m. Before that everyone had a big abundant breakfast to supply their energy funds and then they plunged to the fight.

The contest continued with junior category A. They competed in sparing, special techniques and power breaking. Later the senior category was awaited in the same disciplines.

The contest finished on Sunday at 12:00 a.m. All competitors and referees went to lunch. In the end took place the final declaration of the best competitors and also of the best schools. First place among the schools gained Frýdek-Místek school. The second was TKD club Brno and the third club Karviná.

Overall I rate the atmosphere of the contest as a very pleasant with perfect organization. Each discipline followed right after the other and there was no delay or lag. I am looking forward to next year and I hope there will be as much people as this year.
