International training

One of the last TKD events of 2012 took place from 7th to 9th of December on Chodov in Prague. This event was international seminar with Grandmaster Hwang Ho-yong.
From organizational reasons the term changed from spring to winter but everything else stayed the same – four three-hour-long trainings. Actually there was a change. At Saturday there were two trainings also for national seminar participants so international seminar participants could meet many Czech Taekwondists and see them in action.

Friday evening´s training was focused on practicing basic techniques and detailed explanation and corrections. Saturday´s trainings both for national and international seminars were focused on patterns from Chon-Ji to Ge-Beaek. For almost every pattern there was a chance for one volunteer to practice the pattern in front of GM who gave many corrections to that person. Collective practice of pattern followed.

Saturday´s evening brought a bonus for international seminar participants – dinner prepared by GM´s wife in traditional Korean style where you grill a piece of meat by yourself.

The final training on Sunday was focused on patterns from Eui-Am to Choi-Yong. International participants were from Poland, Hungary and Russia.

I believe that there will be even more people on next seminar to improve our technical skills one step further and deepen our understanding of those techniques. Next seminar is scheduled for April and it will take place in Třeboň. So don´t forget your fishing rods :-)
