Feelings of our most successful junior contestant

On Friday May the 15th at 2 p.m. we met in Opatov to set out for the contest of Czech Federation of Taekwon-Do Cup in Brno.

It was a long way but I personally expected traffic jam and other issues that fortunately did not happen. Around 5 p.m. our group of Sonkal School arrived in Brno. We immediately went to weighing.
After that, when we fulfilled sometimes difficult task to fit in chosen weight category, we had dinner in nearby restaurant. The food was not so good there so we went for another meal to the closest KFC. Then we had to accommodate ourselves and sleep for it is very important to sleep well before contest.

We started quite early on Saturday. At 8:30 a.m. was the opening ceremony. At first there was the contest of patterns where people of Sonkal gained mostly golden medals. Then the sparring contest followed. Also here we won some medals and I believe we truly deserved them for the competitors were very skilled.

After the end of the contest there was proclamation of the best individuals. The cup gained Ondřej Faltin as the most successful younger male junior. The cup of older male juniors won Jan Veškrna. In total as a school we took the cup of second place of the whole contest.

All of us were looking forward to being home after well-done job. So we set off for Prague immediately after contest. There were no complications on the road and everyone get safely and peacefully back home.
