8.12.2007 / 9th Christmas championship youth of Naeryo Chagi school

Ceske Budejovice’s Sports Hall in Dlouha louka hosted on the 1st of December the 9th year of the popular Christmas Youth Championship organized by the Naeryo Chagi Club. Despite the fact that our club did not attend this tournament we bring some information and more than 200 photos taken during this event.

The tournament is in past year intended not only for youth (pupils and juniors) but also for seniors. Even there were two parallel events carried out in the
same term – the sport camp of the Czech National Representation Team in Trebon and a national Taekwon-Do seminar lead by Mr. Hwang, the attendance at the tournament was more than expected – totally 184 competitors from 15 clubs. As well as in past years there were also foreign competitors – 2 clubs from Slovakia and 3 clubs from Slovenia. In particular, the Slovenian clubs belong to traditional participants.

The tilts itself in patterns (tul) and sparring (matsogi) were running on five rings with rapid succession. The most successful competitors in each category were proclaimed at the end of the event and were appraised by very nice and worthy prices. In the total club classification the first place was gained by the Silla Club (8 Gold, 9 Silver and 13 Bronze medals), second place belongs to Slovenian Tiger (8-3-3) and third place is occupied by home Naeryo Chagi (5-6-9).

Unfortunately this year’s 9th year is in its form the last one (with respect to the organizer Mr.Galbac). However it’s possible that in the next year we meet us again in Ceske Budejovice but in different date.
